The OSCA Super Saloon Series is a racing series where the competitors are free to design and build the widest possible variety of cars. The series is open to most types of saloon car, fitting into one of three classes, (GT2 to GT4) based on engine size and type, gearbox, suspension and best lap times, among other parameters. The Technical Regulations have been formulated to promote the “Kiwi Ingenuity” that has been the mainstay of New Zealand MotorSport for decades and to provide a class where American and Australian V8s can compete head to head with high-tech Japanese and European cars.
The series is one of the few in New Zealand that offers prize money.

OSCA LItes
A lap time based series championship, that our competitors who sit within the time bracket can nominate to compete for (as well as their cc based class).
Breakout times for the 2025-2026 season are:
Levels 1.07.000
Euromarque 1.32.000
Teretonga 1.04.000
Highlands (A & C) 1.18.000
Highlands (GT) 1.48.000
These were worked out in conjunction with SS Cup to try and build a fierce saloon racing scene in the mighty South Island.
What happens if I go faster than these times after nominating this new Championship?
Our team will allocate all competitors Overall Series Championship points. If a competitor moves out of “OSCA Lites”, the Overall Series Championship comes into play (this will occur if a competitor breaks out more than 3x over an event). Class and Overall Series Championship points remain unchanged.
There are penalties within our articles if single breakouts occur in qualifying and races.
Genuine speeds within the allocated times will be monitored by OSCA.
