  • South Island Endurance Series

    The South Island Endurance Racing Drivers Club is a circuit based Motor Racing Series raced in the South island of New Zealand, featuring the best & fastest Endurance cars in NZ.

    They offer three endurance races for their competitors.

    • One Hour Class 4 & 5

    • One Hour Class 2 & 3

    • Three Hour

  • OSCA Super Saloons

    The OSCA Super Saloon Series is a racing series where the competitors are free to design and build the widest possible variety of cars. The series is open to most types of saloon car, fitting into one of three classes, (GT2 to GT4) based on engine size and type, gearbox, suspension and best lap times, among other parameters.

    The Technical Regulations have been formulated to promote the “Kiwi Ingenuity” that has been the mainstay of New Zealand MotorSport for decades and to provide a class where American and Australian V8s can compete head to head with high-tech Japanese and European cars.

  • SSCUP - Sport Saloons Cup

    A race series set up to cater to club level cars wanting to compete in a large competitive field with minimal rules and set breakout times.

    This series was started by members of the South Canterbury Car Club and designed to cater to Clubsport type cars wanting to race on the track. X series cars with nowhere to race etc.

    Anything goes! Except for one thing. Minimum race times.

  • 2K Cup South Island

    The most spectacular production based race series in New Zealand. With big fields and close racing whether you are driving or spectating 2KCup has something for everyone.

  • Mazda Racing Series

    The Mazda Racing Series, is a motorsport championship featuring MAZDA RX7's and RX8's competing across New Zealand for the North Island Championship, South Island Championship and New Zealand Championship.

    Their history includes being the oldest Racing Series to become sanctioned by Motorsport NZ and have remained one of the most innovative and cost-effective racing categories in NZ motorsport.

    To provide a drivers championship, they maintain a controlled rulebook that limits modifications to MAZDA RX7 and RX8 production cars that are eligible to compete.

  • Mazda PRO8 New Zealand

    Originally starting out as the first Racing Series to become Sanctioned as Pro7, the series has now shifted to the RX8 class.

    To provide a drivers championship, Pro8 racing maintains a controlled rulebook which limits modification to the Mazda RX8 production cars that are eligible to compete.

  • Mainland Muscle Cars

    A series for for cars that are pre '85 6 cylinder or larger. No turbos or superchargers.

  • Pre 1978 Classic Saloons

    The Pre 1978 Classic Saloons series objective is to encourage and promote those with “Historic and “Classic” Saloons to participate in historic motor racing. Historic motor racing is about comradeship, enjoyment and the spirit and pride of owning and racing a period saloon car. This is a class where “the cars are the stars” and we do race but with a respect for our fellow competitors and their car.

    The series is invite only and it is the Coordinators privilege to invite cars that meet the regulations and are within the spirit of historic racing and may add variety to the grid. This applies to all cars and particularly cars of interest that are rare and not commonly seen on our race tracks.

  • Pre65 Racing South Island

    The Pre-65’s are a longstanding motorsport category in which all vehicles must have been produced prior to 31st December 1965.

    There is no ‘standard’ type of car racing with them, the variety is vast – Falcons, Mustangs, Vauxhalls, Holden’s, Anglia’s, from V8 to 4 Cylinder.

    The club was formed by Rex Dunn a Timaru based driver who wanted to race an affordable car that was a lot of fun. The first Pre 65 race was held at Levels Raceway, Timaru during Labour Weekend in 1979 with the official series starting in February 1980.

  • HVRA - Historic & Vintage Racing Association NZ

    HVRA provides a platform for enthusiasts of early 60’s to mid 70’s cars to take part in historic racing in a non-competitive environment. HVRA is focused on camaraderie, good driver behaviour and presenting cars with correct historic form and function.

  • Classic Allcomers Saloons

    Welcome to our new Race group for pre-1990 Classic Saloon Cars. This group is run under the Classic Motor Racing Club of New Zealand, and provides an exciting group for a wide range of Classic Racing Saloons.

    Whether you have a Genuine car a replica, or a car that's building its own glory, we may have a place for your car to race!

  • Mini 7 South

    The Mini 7 South racing series in New Zealand is a highly popular and competitive motorsport event that showcases the thrilling world of small car racing. The series primarily features the classic Mini, a beloved British automobile known for its compact size and agile handling.

    Mini 7 South attracts both seasoned racers and enthusiastic amateurs, making it an exciting platform for showcasing driving skills and fostering a passionate community. The series takes place on various racetracks across New Zealand, offering a diverse range of challenging circuits that test the abilities of both drivers and vehicles.

  • NZ Six South Island

    NZ Six has two race categories: the Holden HQs and the Super Six.

    Racing an Holden HQ is described as “trying to steer a shopping cart with a bung wheel”! In addition to having a lot of fun racing one, if you manage to race an HQ Holden you are well on your way to racing anything!

    The Super Six is the classic Ford Falcon vs Holden Commodore. These cars are lighter than the HQ Holdens and are more responsive to steering at speed.

    Motor car racing is generally considered as an expensive sport. NZ Six racing is your chance to experience the exhilaration of speed on international race tracks at affordable cost.

  • Continental Rennsport

    Continental Rennsport is the evolution of German Rennsport, for those who love to race continental European saloon and GT cars. All recognised continental branded vehicles are eligible, so Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lamborghini, Peugeot, Renault, Seat, Yugo etc can all race along with the traditional German brands.

    Continental Rennsport caters to two types of drivers. Those who choose to race in the group just for the fun of it and those who want to enter a series championship by racing in a class within the Continental Rennsport group. This means in any race, there will be those going for trophies and those who are doing it simply because they love it.

Club Touring Car Series

  • CCC - Open Saloons

    The Canterbury Car Club has been running the grassroots series for over 30 years, it’s setup to cater for club level cars in Canterbury wanting to compete with minimal rules and regulations in a fun and safe environment for new and seasoned competitors alike.

    Events are run on a Sunday and consist of a qualifying and three 8-12 lap standing start races all run on the Ruapuna Park Grand Prix Circuit (3.33km).

  • CCC - Club Saloons

    Designed for new drivers/those with cars that are a bit slower, break out time applies.

    Compete with minimal rules and regulations in a fun and safe environment for new and seasoned competitors alike.

    Events are run on a Sunday and consist of a qualifying and three 6 lap standing start races all run on the Ruapuna Park Grand Prix Circuit (3.33km).

  • Highlands Sprint Series

    Started in 2020 to give local compeitiors the chance to experience the circuit, the atmosphere and racing without the pressure of a full-on, door handle-to-door handle compeition.

    Races run on the Highlands Circuit A and Circuit C joined together (2.9km).

    A wide variety for cars attend from Porsche 991 Cup Cars to Nissan Pulsar 2KCup cars.

  • SSCC - Club Saloons

    The Southland Sports Car Club runs this grassroots series, it’s setup to cater for club level cars in Southland wanting to compete with minimal rules and regulations in a fun and safe environment for new and seasoned competitors alike.

Club Circuit Sprints

  • CCC - Circuit Sprints

    Circuits sprints are a great step up from 'Trackdays'. These events allow you to perfect those standing starts and really test your ability behind the wheel against other cars, in a safe environment.

    Passing is allowed, with no restrictions other than standard MSNZ rules. Circuit sprints are highly recommended for those looking to move into touring car racing in the near future, while also being full of entertainment for all types of vehicle and driver.
